This year again, Arora Hotel Manchester participated in the annual Easter Egg appeal organised by the Wood Street Mission, a Manchester charity which supports local families affected by poverty. The hotel managed to collect 100 eggs which were donated to the Royal Manchester children's hospital.
Among the 46,698 participants of the 2011 Virgin London Marathon was the General Manager of the Arora Hotel Gatwick/Crawley. Without troubling the elite runners, Jan completed the 26.3 miles (42-kilometre) race in a very respectable 5h04 and managed to raise over £1,800 in support of the UK charity Sense International.
